Step1
Decide what room you will be installing the camera.
Step2
Decide the best angle for the camera.
Step3
Decide how high off the floor the camera needs to be.
Step4
Find the mounting bracket that came with the camera.
Step5
Hold the mounting bracket in place with one hand and use a pencil to mark the screw holes with the other hand.
Step6
Determine if the screw holes will be in a stud. Use a stud finder from a home improvement store if necessary.
Step7
If you will not be screwing the screws into a stud, you will need to use a drywall anchor bolt.
Step8
Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller that the screw you will use to mount the bracket.
Step9
Predrill a hole into the stud or insert the drywall anchor bolt into the drywall.
Step10
Hold the mounting bracket in place and insert the screws into the predrilled holes or the drywall anchor bolt.
Step11
Place the camera onto the mounting bracket.
Step12
Plug the camera into the outlet or insert batteries, depending on whether or not your camera is corded or uses batteries.
Step13
Sync the camera to the base station following the manufacturer's directions.
