How to Adjust Colors on an LCD Monitor

You can adjust the colors on a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) monitor according to your preferences by following some basic steps. When you want to adjust the colors, you can either change the color scheme, the color quality, brightness or contrast ratio on the monitor. Note that brightness is the shine of the white color and contrast the radiance ratio of white to black in the center of the screen. The process for adjusting colors would vary slightly depending on your computer's operating system. Here is how to adjust colors on an LCD monitor for most operating systems.

      Go to the "Start Menu" of your operating system and click on the "Control Panel" from the menu. A new window will appear on the screen.

      Select the "Display" option from the "Control Panel" and click on it.

      Choose the "Settings" tab from the new window. View the color option in this window. You will have options of 16 bit, 32 bit and more.

      Select the "Color Quality." You can also select a color scheme by clicking on the "Appearance" tab and choosing a "Color Scheme." Click on the "Advanced" button on this window to select from more colors.

    Adjusting Brightness and Contrast

      Press "Menu" on your LCD's display panel (usually below the screen). Various display options will be shown on the screen.

      Select brightness from the options. This is usually indicated by a sun. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on your display panel to increase or decrease brightness.

    You can also adjust the color by using the menu button below the display screen and scrolling through using the up down, right left arrows on the keyboard to get to the 'color' setting. I had too much pink color in the screen and this worked better for me than using the 'settings' tab in the control panel.
