1. Locate the slot. Locate the memory card slot on your Dell Axim. Most personal media devices come with a slot that will fit a Compact Flash card. Often this slot is on the side of the device, but sometimes it can be found inside the battery cavity.
2. Insert the CompactFlash memory card. CompactFlash memory cards slide and click into place. If the CF card meets any resistance, remove it and make sure that you are inserting it correctly. The side with the metallic parts showing should face down and in.
3. Access the CompactFlash card. The Dell Axim utilizes a File Explorer program that allows you to explore the files and directories in your device's internal and external memory. To access the information written onto an SD or CF card, click on the Start menu. From the Start menu, access Programs and then File Explorer.
