  1. Upload Files to Your Profile

      Know that there is a slightly different method for adding pictures from your computer and adding pictures from the Web. Keep in mind that any pictures that you put on your profile need to be in HTML format.

      To add pictures from your personal computer, you will first need to upload the pictures to a picture bank or picture hosting Web site. The hosting site will likely be able to generate the HTML code. Copy the HTML code.

      Log on to your MySpace account.

      Review your profile and figure out where you want the picture to go. Click on the "Edit Profile" link. Paste the HTML code into the section that you want the image to appear on your profile. The code should look like this:

      Click the "Preview Profile" button to check your work. Save all changes and you are done.

      Find the link that reads "Add/Edit Photos" in the upper right blue box. Click on the "Add/Edit Photos" link.

      Locate the link that says "Upload Photo" and click the "Browse" button. Search for your photo on your computer.

      After you find your photo and have selected it, click "Upload." MySpace should load your image at the bottom of the screen. Next to your image you will see options to set that picture as your default photo (the photo everyone sees), and to also add a caption to your photo if you so desire.

      Click on the "Save All Changes" button. This will make your new page viewable to the public and/or your friends.

  • If a site does not supply you with code, then simply copy the URL location of the picture and create your own HTML code as follows: . Any HTML code should be between the two HTML tags.

  • You may want to view MySpace's photo policy, which can be found in a link at the top of the "Add/Edit Photos" page.

  • If you are having trouble uploading your photos, MySpace suggests you to use their FAQ section, which can also be found at the top of the page.

  • Do not put any pictures up that would completely disclose your address, phone number or any other personal information.

  • Do not violate MySpace's terms of use by uploading any copyrighted images or violent and offensive material. This will automatically delete your account.
