Find the podcast you want to download by using a traditional search engine or one that is podcast specific.

Copy the URL (Web address) of the podcast you want from the address bar of your Web browser.

Paste the URL into your podcatching program (such as iTunes or Juice) to subscribe.

Allow the program to download the podcast.

I am pretty computer literate (had the first BBC Micro) but I agree entirely with CanNurse. I am trying to copy a podcast from the BBC site to my mp3. It worked once but have forgotten how. I just used Juice and pasted the url but it would not download. I was therefore looking for a BABY step by step help article. With all the rubbish thats on the web you'd think there would be lots of help for something which must a problem to lots of people. Try again someone please -- SLOWLY.

I have never even used an mp3 player, ipod or other similar device, so asked ehow. This article is not useful for a rank beginner. eg. What is a pod-cast-specific search engine? Where are they? What is a podcatching program? Do you need special software in your mp3 player to download podcast? Do you have to subscribe to something to get podcasts? If so, what , where & cost? What is "sync" the podcast to mp3 player? How do you do this? This ehow reminded me of computer manuals - written by people who already know how to run them - thus not helpful for actual humans. Please rewrite this and make it much more comprehensive & explanatory. thanks
