Things You'll Need:
- List of your interests – this translates into potential articles
-
Step 1
Think it through.
What are you writing about? No, I don’t want you to give me an explanation that goes on for a paragraph. Less is more, people. Keep it short and snappy – summarize your article in a few words or less. -
Step 2
Be Precise.
Always include the subject of your article in your title. For example, if you’re writing about how to resurrect an ancient can of Spam (the one you found in that time capsule when you were digging the hole for your outdoor pool), then be sure to include “Spam” in the title. Or even better, "Ancient Can of Spam." And while you’re at it, why don't you write some weHows about your experiences with time travel. I'm just sayin' ... -
Step 3
She wrote what?
Be bold. Raise some eyebrows with your title. Go for intrigue – at least when it’s possible. That said, no one’s going to shame you if you can’t think up a clever title when you’re writing about filing taxes from jail after outrunning the IRS for 10 years. But we would like your running tips... -
Step 4
Go big or go home.
Be outrageous. Have some fun. Don't be afraid what anyone thinks. Choose a title that fits your article – even if it may feel a little out there. As long as it's specific, and it pertains to your article, you're golden. -
Step 5
Write your weHows!
