Dish Network provides professional installation so you may not worry about correct alignment or other related procedures. Some new subscribers are also entitled to free installation. However, if you plan on installing Dish Network yourself, you may not be able to do so. Dish Network strongly recommends professional installation and does not allow self-installation at this time. However, it is recommended that you keep checking with Dish Network about self-installation.

Instructions
Tips & Warnings
  • Use the toll-free number 1-888-284-7116 to call Dish Network for any installation related queries.
  • For basic steps used in dish installation, go to the company’s web site (www.dishnetwork.com), select Products & Services > Installation from the menu located below the company logo. This is only for your information.
  • To adjust the dish antenna, Dish Network web site supports the elevation and azimuth calculators given on the (www.dishnetwork.com) page. Use this feature to easily determine the elevation and the direction (azimuth) in which the satellite is to be pointed. This calculator requires you to only enter your zip code.
  • To get clear reception, the dish should point in the Southern direction.
  • Check the Dish Network web site regularly to see if in future they give steps to help customers install the dish antenna.
  • Do not attempt to install Dish Network yourself.

on 2/18/2009 Dish Network DSS systems are easy to install. Just take your time and make sure you ground it well. Leave access to get back to the dish. Your best bet now would be to order the Free Professional installation. Go to http://dishinstall.synthasite.com for 24 hour install, Free

on 12/29/2008 I used to install dish and I can tell you the basics are not all that difficult. Once the dish system is installed, most problems come from the dish getting knocked out of alignment or bad connections in the lines. Most wall plates and barrels made for cable will burn out after sat signal is passed through them for a while. A signal meter is a God send when trying to get the dish signal peaked.

on 10/15/2008 I have a antenna problem that needs a repairman.
Several calls over the past two months have gotten
no results. My wife and I are 75 years old and she
has alzhieners. The account is in her name and Disk
will not let me ask for assistance in getting repairs.
They were very rude in saying that she must speak to
them over the phone to authorize this repair.
I am now fed up with the service of Dish. I will
switch to another service that treat their customers
better.
