Things You'll Need:
- Steak
- BBQ grill
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Tony Chachere`s Creole seasoning
- Aluminum foil
-
Step 1
Buy your favorite cut of steak (this varies from person to person but I like one with good marbling but not too much fat around the edges).
-
Step 2
Fire up your BBQ grill to make sure it is good and hot (either gas or charcoal, depends on your tastes - I use gas just for the convienence).
-
Step 3
Rub the steak with E.V.O.O. (as Rachael Ray would say) which to the regular person is Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
-
Step 4
Generously sprinkle Tony Chachere`s Creole seasoning on both sides of the steak. This is an art, because of the fact that some of the spices will fall off during cooking. Too little and the steak is bland, too much and it is too salty. A good trick is too practice cook it a few times before attempting the big party.
-
Step 5
Throw it on the grill and cook to taste.
-
Step 6
Now remove from the grill and let it rest for at least 5 minutes loosing covered with Alumium foil before cutting.
-
Step 7
Serve it up! I like to also grill some asparagus with the steak but that is for another article...

on 6/9/2007 Wow how about a not so great article. No offense but EVERYTHING in this is general knowledge. Buy your favorite kind of steak.. okay.. general! Fire up the grill til' hot... also GENERAL! Most people either put EVOO or PAM or something to keep it from sticking to the grill... GENERAL! And who doesn't season a steak? GENERAL! Cook to taste?? Probably the most general statement in the entire article. Then most people also normally let the steak cool cuz most don't want it raging hot off the grill, then in their mouth. This article is, for the most part, useless. It offers no knowledge, recommendations or anything of the sort. Perhaps meat selection? Perhaps a temperature on a grill. Most people consider the word "Hot" anywhere from 100 degrees to 600 degrees. Cook to taste... elaborate and about how long.. use an example. Perhaps you should stick to cookies and milk.
