How to Make Beef Pasties

Things You'll Need

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cups Crisco oil
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 lb serloin top roast - cut thin
  • 1 large diced potato
  • 1/2 medium onion - diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • butter
  • egg white
  • Mixing bowl
  • spoon
  • rolling pin
  • cookie sheet

Instructions

    • 1

      Preheat oven at 350 degrees.

      Mix the flour, calt, and oil together to form the crusts - add water as needed. Roll out crust in 6 inch circles.

    • 3

      Mix meat, potato, and onion with salt and pepper. Place 1 cup of meat misture in center of crusts. Dot with butter and fold in half.

      Brush egg white on top of crusts and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
