It is importaint to know how to set up an ultimate field in the correct manner.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 cones
  • a level playing field
  1. Step 1

First look at the field and decide where you want to set up your ultimate field. Try to make sure that there is sufficient space to set up the field in the orientation you have chosen.

  2. Step 2

Place the cone that will be one of the back corners of one of your end-zones.

  3. Step 3

Now, start walking along what will be one of the long edges of your field. One pace is about one yard, so at 25 paces, place another cone to mark the front of your endzone. Count out 70 more paces and place another cone for the front of your other endzone. Count out 25 paces and place a cone for the back of your endzone.

  4. Step 4

Turn ninty degrees and walk 40 paces in the direction of the short end of your field, and place a cone for the other back corner of your endzone. Again turn 90 degrees and repeat step 3 walking back towards your first endzone.

  5. Step 5

When you are done you should have an ultimate field that looks like this.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you are pacing out a field it helps to choose an object far beyond the end scope of your field and walk towards that object, you will end up with a straighter line of cones this way.
