How to Make a Halloween Tree
Go beyond the bowl of candy this year and present Halloween treats on a spooky tree. Fully dressed, they make a great hostess gift, dessert buffet prop or gift for the office break room. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Miniature ghosts, rubber toys, and packaged candy
- Cellophane bags, ribbon
- Popcorn, Halloween-shaped cookies, miniature caramel apples, spider treats, skull shaped white chocolates
- Orange and white tree lights
- Black Halloween tree

Buy or make a black, spooky barren tree. Find one online by using key words "Halloween tree," and get supplies from your local craft store. Or, take a fallen bare branch from the yard to make one yourself. See Resources below for some ideas on where to buy them.

String small orange and white lights on the tree.

Invite the kids over to make Halloween treats to fill the tree:
• popcorn balls
• ghost, bat and spider-web shaped cookies
• miniature caramel apples
• scary spider treats

Place treats in cellophane bags and tie with ribbon.

Tie treats to the tree with ribbon.

Put the final touches on the tree by hanging small creepy rubber toys, miniature ghosts and packaged candy.

Think of all the sizes Christmas trees come in-painted black, they are Halloween trees! The tree can be any of the following sizes: • a tabletop version for a dessert buffet, office break room or as a hostess gift • full-size from which the goblins can choose their treat when they come knocking • somewhere in between.
