  1. Step 1

Make an appointment with a counselor to find constructive solutions to stressful problems or depression.

  2. Step 2

Sign up for a stress-management class or a relaxing activity such as meditation or yoga. Anxiety can exhaust you.

  3. Step 3

Exercise a few times a week to improve your overall energy and reduce stress or anxiety.

  4. Step 4

Improve your sleeping conditions. Buy a new mattress if yours is uncomfortable, and make sure your room is a comfortable temperature, dark, and quiet.

  5. Step 5

Maintain a diet that supports steady energy levels. That means eating several small meals a day (including a breakfast that includes complex carbohydrates and protein) and avoiding refined sugar and caffeine.

  6. Step 6

Drink at least eight glasses of water a day, since dehydration can cause fatigue.

  7. Step 7

Be sure you're getting enough calcium and potassium. Deficiencies of these nutrients are associated with fatigue.
