The memory card for the PlayStation 2 is simply massive. With eight megabytes of storage, filling it up with all of your saved games will be as challenging as many of the games you'll play. Still, you should know how to manage the memory card in order to maximize its storage capabilities.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • PlayStation Magazine
Step1
Turn on your PlayStation 2 without a game in the disc tray.
Step2
Select "browser" from the main menu.
Step3
Select the memory card icon from the browser menu. You will see the amount of space available and a number of game icons designating used space.
Step4
Select the delete command and then select a block of game memory to delete that particular block.
Step5
Select the copy command and then select a block of game memory to copy that block.
Step6
Exit the memory card screen and either turn off your Playstation 2 to stop or put a game in the disc tray to begin play.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure that any block you plan on deleting is the block you truly want to delete. Once it's gone, it's really gone.
