Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dry tempera paint
  • Large pieces of thick paper
  1. Step 1

    Purchase dry tempera paint. Tempera paint comes as a white powder, no matter what color it is.

  2. Step 2

    Use large pieces of thick paper.

  3. Step 3

    Sprinkle different colors of the paint on the paper.

  4. Step 4

    Go out in the rain and hold the paper flat under the rain.

  5. Step 5

    Watch as the rain turns the white powder into colors and creates beautiful designs.

  6. Step 6

    Bring the paper inside before it becomes so wet that the paint washes away.

  7. Step 7

    Allow the art to dry flat and then display it.

  • This project works best with a light drizzle.
