Things You'll Need:
- Washcloths
- Concealer
- Concealer Brushes
- Exfoliating Cleanser
- Exfoliating Products
- Face Powder
- Non-oil-based Foundation
-
Step 1
Wash your hands before handling your face. Dirt and oils on your hands will only aggravate the blemish.
-
Step 2
Choose a concealer appropriate to the color and type of blemish you wish to hide. Concealer is a creamier foundation makeup with added pigments intended for specific parts of your face.
-
Step 3
Pick a yellow-tinted concealer to hide red blemishes; choose a concealer a little lighter than your blemish for hiding darker marks.
-
Step 4
Choose a masking cosmetic (which is thicker than concealer and has added pigment) to hide more prominent blemishes, such as small scars left from pimples or skin irregularities.
-
Step 5
Apply the concealer or masking cosmetic over the blemish using your finger, an eye shadow brush or sponge.
-
Step 6
Blend the edges with the surrounding skin, using a circular motion.
-
Step 7
Set the masking cosmetic with a special setting powder, then apply oil-free foundation and powder on top.

on 5/16/2009 Green actually is a better concealer choice as it blocks red. It's really best not to use any chemicals on your face with your skin care or make up - these only aggrevate the situation. Use natural, safe, toxin free and cruelty free products. Diet is key for sure. Many people also don't realize that adding a moisturizer will slow down oil production of your skin cells and minimize further breakouts.

on 10/31/2008 Another simpler way to detox is to eat fresh, organic apples for 3 days. Remember, you can only eat apples (form 5-8) and drink as much water as you can (try distilled water). That helps. BUT if you go back to your bad habits after 3 days, the entire detox is useless. Therefore, after the apple detox, you should eliminate junk food, soda, cigarettes, alcohol, sugar, salt OR keep it to a MINIMUM.

on 8/26/2006 Changing your diet helps in eliminating all of the toxins your body would otherwise secrete through your skin!
Say No To :
1.) Refined sugar *Keep in mind that honey is not only good for you it makes a great sweetener.
2.) Candy *"Resist the urge," that means no Jolly Ranchers, Hershey bars, etc.
3.) Ban fast food from your diet.
4.) Ban junk food. No chips or soda (which is actually what you should stay away from completely), cookies, nacho cheese. If you must get a fountain drink, opt for a more fashionable drink like water. Stay away from milk unless you like milk. In that case you should buy Organic. But really consider staying away from milk entirely, and that means ice cream too, pudding snacks, beef jerky, anything you'd find at 7-11.
Remember, do this so your body can detox you'll notice once your complexion clears up. I did this and I no longer get inflamed pimples. All that junk food I used to like? My body now rejects, so it's not me banning it from me, my body Is.

on 10/1/2007 Say you're going somewhere special, like on a date, and you have a massive whitehead bulging out of the middle of your face. Now, let's face it, white heads can be pretty nasty and some people would prefer a scab to a big nasty white head. Also, cover up doesn't always work and it usually rubs off within 30 minutes. However, if you're going to pop it and get a scab, you might just get a scar. But if you're willing to risk it then I advise that you don't do the following:
- Squeeze around it: That will make it all red and irritated and that'll make it look worse than it did before
- Scrape it off: That will make a huge scab and it will probably leave a scar depending on how fair you are and how prone to scarring you are.
What I suggest you do is that you take a small pin or a a sewing needle. Disinfect it and give the pimple a poke somewhere around the edge to break the thin layer of skin around it. Then press the zit with the back of the pin and everything will drain from the little incision you made. In the end you will end up either no scab or a very small one, and that will decrease the possibility of scarring.
When you're done, dab some rubbing alcohol or toner over the blemish. It'll dry the sucker up.
