    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Washcloths
    • Concealer
    • Concealer Brushes
    • Exfoliating Cleanser
    • Exfoliating Products
    • Face Powder
    • Non-oil-based Foundation
      • 1

Wash your hands before handling your face. Dirt and oils on your hands will only aggravate the blemish.

      • 2

Choose a concealer appropriate to the color and type of blemish you wish to hide. Concealer is a creamier foundation makeup with added pigments intended for specific parts of your face.

      • 3

Pick a yellow-tinted concealer to hide red blemishes; choose a concealer a little lighter than your blemish for hiding darker marks.

      • 4

Choose a masking cosmetic (which is thicker than concealer and has added pigment) to hide more prominent blemishes, such as small scars left from pimples or skin irregularities.

      • 5

Apply the concealer or masking cosmetic over the blemish using your finger, an eye shadow brush or sponge.

      • 6

Blend the edges with the surrounding skin, using a circular motion.

      • 7

Set the masking cosmetic with a special setting powder, then apply oil-free foundation and powder on top.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Try a cover stick, which is a stick version of a concealer. These contain a high proportion of wax to add body and thickness.

    • Masking cosmetics are usually not available at drugstores or beauty aid stores but can be purchased at major department stores. They're expensive, but effective.

    • Using too much makeup to cover blemishes may make skin look blotchy. Start conservatively, and add as needed.

    • Cover sticks aggravate acne, so use them sparingly if you're prone to breaking out.

Green actually is a better concealer choice as it blocks red. It's really best not to use any chemicals on your face with your skin care or make up - these only aggrevate the situation. Use natural, safe, toxin free and cruelty free products. Diet is key for sure. Many people also don't realize that adding a moisturizer will slow down oil production of your skin cells and minimize further breakouts.

Another simpler way to detox is to eat fresh, organic apples for 3 days. Remember, you can only eat apples (form 5-8) and drink as much water as you can (try distilled water). That helps. BUT if you go back to your bad habits after 3 days, the entire detox is useless. Therefore, after the apple detox, you should eliminate junk food, soda, cigarettes, alcohol, sugar, salt OR keep it to a MINIMUM.

Changing your diet helps in eliminating all of the toxins your body would otherwise secrete through your skin! Say No To : 1.) Refined sugar *Keep in mind that honey is not only good for you it makes a great sweetener. 2.) Candy *"Resist the urge," that means no Jolly Ranchers, Hershey bars, etc. 3.) Ban fast food from your diet. 4.) Ban junk food. No chips or soda (which is actually what you should stay away from completely), cookies, nacho cheese. If you must get a fountain drink, opt for a more fashionable drink like water. Stay away from milk unless you like milk. In that case you should buy Organic. But really consider staying away from milk entirely, and that means ice cream too, pudding snacks, beef jerky, anything you'd find at 7-11. Remember, do this so your body can detox you'll notice once your complexion clears up. I did this and I no longer get inflamed pimples. All that junk food I used to like? My body now rejects, so it's not me banning it from me, my body Is.
