Tips & Warnings
"This is a compact move and a short, power punch. It's not some wild swing that gets a boxer all twisted and out of balance. A solid uppercut to the chin can lift your opponent off his feet and land him on his butt." -Joe Guson

Too many times do I see amateur boxers throw their hand wildly upward. The first step to the uppercut is to lower your entire body. Punches come from the hips, so remember to secure the point of your elbow on your hips while you're still low. On the way up, you keep the point of your elbow on the same line, just shoot it upward into the jaw of the opponent. -
