In 1999, over 1 million people requested an audition for "Wheel of Fortune," but less than 600 of those actually appeared on the show. Knowing the odds may not improve your chances, but it helps keep your expectations realistic.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Consult the "Wheel of Fortune" home page, wheeloffortune.com, for general information about the show and the process of choosing contestants.
Step2
Choose a time when you will be in the Los Angeles area, either on business or pleasure.
Step3
Send a postcard to "Wheel of Fortune" Contestant Auditions, 10202 W. Washington Blvd., Suite 5300, Culver City, CA 90232. Print or type the exact dates of your visit to Los Angeles along with your name, address and phone number. If auditions are being conducted during that period of time, you may be called to try out while you're in town.
Step4
Arrive a little early for your audition at Sony Television Studios in Culver City. Be prepared to play a mock "Wheel of Fortune" game and to take a written test.
Step5
Try to appear energized, poised and positive while playing the game.
Step6
Wait to be notified by mail if you are selected to appear on the show. This could happen within a few months or not for over a year, even if you are considered a qualified contestant.
