How to Set Preferences in PhotoDeluxe

You can customize PhotoDeluxe 2.0 to optimize the performance in your system. You can also customize the display.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Open PhotoDeluxe.

  2. Step 2

    Open the File menu and select Preferences.

  3. Step 3

    Click to turn Clue Cards on or off.

  4. Step 4

    Click to put a check beside Allow Multiple Document Windows if you want this feature.

  5. Step 5

    Click Cursors. Indicate your preference for Painting tools and for color wand tolerance. Click OK

  6. Step 6

    Click Plugins. Indicate the folder where your plugins are stored. Click OK.

  7. Step 7

    Click Scratch Disk. A window appears. Indicate which hard disk you want to use first for your Scratch Disk and which disk you want to use next. Then indicate how much RAM you are assigning to PhotoDeluxe. Click OK.

  8. Step 8

    Click Background. Set your grid and color preferences. Click OK.

  9. Step 9

    Click Units. Set your preferences for points, columns and ruler measurements. Click OK.

  10. Step 10

    Put a check beside Export Clipboard if you want Clipboard data to be available to other programs.

  11. Step 11

    Click Long Menus to display all possible commands or Short Menus to simplify the interface.

Tips & Warnings
  • A scratch disk is a temporary disk that Adobe PhotoDeluxe uses for storing data when there is insufficient RAM available. PhotoDeluxe requires three to five times as much RAM as the size of the file. PhotoDeluxe uses your startup disk as the default. Avoid using a removable disk (such as a Zip disk) for your scratch disk. Fixed disks are faster and consequently work better.
