Stretch Your Triceps Before Nordic Skiing

A day of skiing includes a considerable amount of poling, which can leave your triceps muscles sore. A cool-down stretch can help alleviate tightness.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Stand up straight.

  2. Step 2

Lift your left arm straight up so that your fingers are pointing above you.

  3. Step 3

Bend your left elbow until your hand is resting at the base of your neck or further down your back.

  4. Step 4

Place your right hand on your left elbow.

  5. Step 5

Push down gently with your right hand.

  6. Step 6

Stop pushing when you can feel your tricep stretching.

  7. Step 7

Hold for 8 to 10 seconds.

  8. Step 8

    Repeat with your right arm.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your tricep is located on the back of your arm between your shoulder and elbow.
  • This strech works effectively before and after skiing.
