How to Arrange Objects on a Page in PageMaker

PageMaker places objects in a stacking order as you create them (if you add text, then a picture, then a rule, the rule will appear on top of the picture, which appears on top of the text). PageMaker 6.0 and 6.5 let you rearrange the stacking order of objects on a page.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • PageMaker 6.5 (Mac OS)
  • PageMaker 6.5 (Windows)
  1. Step 1

    Select an object toward the rear of the stack.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the Element menu and select Arrange.

  3. Step 3

    Select Bring to Front to move an object to the top of the stack.

  4. Step 4

    Select Send to Back to move an object to the bottom of the stack.

  5. Step 5

    Select Bring Forward or Send Backward to move an object forward or backward past only one item in the stack, instead of the entire stack.
