Things You'll Need

  • Fusible beads
  • Fusible bead peg board
  • Parchment paper
  • Iron
  • Thread
Step 1

Sort out colors to make designing easier. An old cupcake tin works really well for this task.

Step 2

Layout the design using the peg board. If making these to be used as tree ornaments or as gift wrap toppers, keep the design from 1 inch to 2 inches.

Step 3

When the design is completed, lay a piece of parchment paper over the work carefully. The beads are easily knocked out of place. With the iron set to medium heat, press evenly and firmly over the parchment paper, running the iron over the beads.

Press evenly with iron.

Step 4

Iron until the beads have melted slightly, enough to connect to each other on the ironed side.

Step 5

Let cool, then remove the piece from the board and gently peel off the parchment paper. Both the pegboard and the parchment can be reused several times.

Let the piece cool before removing from the peg board.

Step 6

Cut some decorative thread and loop it through each piece. Use to adorn a Christmas tree or to make the presentation of a present extra special.

Tie some thread to turn these into ornaments.
