How to Turn Off the Main Function of F Keys on Laptops
The Fn key on laptops is a special key used to access the functions of other keys. For instance, holding down Fn and pressing the J, K L U I or O keys on a Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop allows you to use these keys as a replacement number pad. While useful, the Fn key can also be a pesky annoyance, which is why the option to disable exists in some laptops, depending on their manufacturer and model.
