Use your laptop and Skype to broadcast a sports event.

You can use Skype to broadcast your sports to your friends. If you play sports or have a child that does, you can let them watch as long as you have a laptop computer with wireless Internet access, a webcam, a microphone and the Skype software installed. For best results, use an external webcam and microphone, as you can then position these two necessary attachments in whatever direction that is most suitable for the sporting event.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the webcam and microphone to your laptop computer, and press the power button to turn it on.

    • 2

Position the webcam toward the playing field, using the best angle available. Also, put the microphone in a good place that picks up sounds from the sports event or fans.

    • 3

Double-click the "Skype" icon from the computer's desktop. In the "Skype" window, right-click the contact name of the first person you would like to add to the video conference and select "Video Call."

    • 4

Click the "Add People" button, then click the contacts you wish to add and click the "Add" or "OK" button. As each person connects, they see the broadcast of the sporting event.

    • 5

Click the "End Call" button at any time to stop broadcasting via Skype.
