How to Backup Game Saves on an iPad
You can back up your iPad so your game progress will be protected in case your iPad experiences an operating error or hardware crash and needs to be restored. The iTunes application included with the iPad comes with built-in back up and restore utilities to help your protect the data on your tablet's hard drive. The backup will be stored on your computer in the event you should need to restore your files to the iPad.

Connect one end of the iPad USB cable into the connection port on the bottom of the iPad after you finish playing a game.

Plug the other end into an open USB port on your computer. The iTunes application will appear once the connection is recognized by your computer.

Right-click the "iPad" entry in the "Devices" section of the iTunes interface. Click "Backup" in the context menu that appears to backup of the saved games on your iPad.
