How Get Skype With Cydia

It is no longer necessary to get Skype or a Skype-modified application from the Cydia repositories store, because Skype officially supports the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch mobile devices. You may download the Skype directly from the official Apple App Store on your device. You are then able to make phone and video calls and send text messages to other Skype users and non-Skype users if your account has enough credit.

Instructions

1. Tap the "App Store" icon on your iOS device's home screen.

2. Go to the top search field, then type "Skype" and tap the "Search" button. A page of Skype-related results appears.

3. Tap the "Install" button for the Skype listing if you are using the iPhone iPod touch and "Skype for iPad" if you are using the iPad.

4. Type your Apple ID password in the "Password" field to confirm the app download. Tap the "OK" button to proceed with the download. Your iOS device downloads and automatically installs the app.

5. Tap the "Skype" icon from the home screen to begin using the free application.

Tips & Warnings

• Skype is not available on Cydia for jailbroken iOS devices.
