How to Find a PSX BIOS File for the Android

The PSX BIOS file is necessary in order for you to run the original PlayStation emulator program ePSXe. The program uses the file to "trick" the game software into thinking that it is running on a PSX. The emulator and BIOS file are legal for you to possess as long as you own an original PlayStation, and the actual BIOS file is called scph1001.bin.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the application screen on your Android device and touch "Browser."

    • 2

Tap the address bar and enter "http://www.emuparadise.org/biosfiles/PSX_Bios_SCPH1001.zip." Tap "Enter."

    • 3

Wait for the file to download. Once the download is complete, drag the notification bar down and touch the download notification to open the ZIP file in your file explorer application.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your Android device does not come with a file explorer, Android Market offers several free explorers. Tap the Market icon and touch the magnifying glass. Enter "file explorer" and touch "Enter."
