How to Find the Right Eyebrow Shapes
Classically beautiful women are known for their large eyes, elegant noses, high cheekbones and symmetrical features. The shape of their eyebrows usually escapes conscious notice. However, the right brow line can give the illusion of different proportions than a face naturally has. Eyes appear larger, faces more oval and features more defined. Eyebrows are not one-shape-fits-all; your ideal brow line depends on the shape of your face. Determine your overall facial structure in order to identify your ideal brow shape. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Pull your hair back from your face and secure it with a hair tie. Go to a mirror and look at the shape of your face.
-
2
Notice the width of your forehead, cheeks and chin. Notice the length of your forehead, chin and face overall.

3
Look at the sizes of your forehead and chin. If you have a wide, tall forehead and a narrow, short chin, you have an oval face. If you have a wide, tall forehead and a narrow, pointed chin, you have a heart-shaped face. If you have a wide, tall forehead and a narrow, long chin, you have a long face.

4
Evaluate the shape of your jawline and the sides of your face if you have not determined your face shape yet. If your face is somewhat circular and widest at the cheeks, you have a round face. If your face is somewhat circular but your jawline is mostly flat, you have a square face. If your face resembles an oval but it is widest at the temples and your forehead is relatively low, you have a diamond-shaped face.

5
Shape your brows to balance your most distinctive features. If you have a long face, give yourself nearly flat brows. If you have a heart-shaped face, round your brows gently to balance your chin. If you have an oval face, give your brows a soft, low point -- too high an arch will make your face look long.
-
6
Give yourself brows with a high arch if you have a round, square or diamond-shaped face. The point helps elongate your overall look and give the illusion that your face is closer to an oval shape.

Tips & Warnings
If you have trouble determining the shape of your face, search beauty websites for examples of the different facial structures. Print out pictures of models with each face shape and compare the pictures to your reflection.
When you start to pluck your eyebrows, mentally draw a diagonal line from the tip of your nose through your pupil and up above your eye. Put the top of the brow arch on this line.
