Tethering an LG Ally to a Mac
The Android operating system supports tethering through Wi-Fi and via USB connection, but Verizon Wireless has opted to remove this functionality. If you have rooted your Ally, you can simply install a version of the operating system without the restriction or use third-party Wi-Fi apps from the Android Market. If you would rather not root, tether your Mac with your Ally through USB using an application called PdaNet.
