How to Keep Curls From Frizzing Throughout the Day
Dry hair has a tendency to absorb the moisture in the air. Instead of hydrating the hair, this swells the strands and can cause them to frizz. Prevent frizz by treating your dry hair gently while styling and buying products specially formulated for this problem. The right products will be free of alcohol and contain terms such as "hydrating" and "anti-frizz." Silicone-based products help lubricate the swelled shafts to keep the frizz under control. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Use a hydrating shampoo once a week. Apply a hydrating leave-in conditioner after you rinse. Wash your hair with water only on the other days to prevent excess dryness in your hair which causes additional frizz.
-
2
Apply an anti-frizz serum to damp hair. Squirt a few drops into your palms, rub your hands together to warm and coat and then run your hands over the surface of your hair. Use a fine-tooth comb to gently work the product through your hair.

Allow hair to air-dry, if possible. Use a blow dryer fitted with a diffuser, if a faster drying time is needed for curly hair. Note that you shouldn't use a brush or comb while blow-drying as they can disturb the curls and increase frizz. Use a flatiron directly after applying the anti-frizz serum if you want to wear your hair straight.

Carry an anti-frizz spray product for touchups throughout the day. Apply cautiously as it is easy to add too much product.
