How to Get Your PC to Show .SRT File Subtitles
When you want to watch a movie in your computer you are not limited in functionality just because you're not on a television. When someone uploads a movie to the Internet for download, many times he will include the .srt file along with the actual movie file. If you need or want to view subtitles during the movie, you need to have the .srt file that goes along with your movie file regardless of what type of file it is.
Instructions

1
Name the subtitle the exact same file name as the movie. If your movie is named "Johnny Goes to School.avi," name the subtitle file "Johnny Goes to School.srt."
-
2
Put both the subtitle and movie file in the same folder.
-

3
Double-click the movie to open it in your default media player. As long as the subtitle file has the same name and is in the same directory the subtitles will display.
