How to Compress Images to Wallpaper for Optimus
The LG Optimus series of Android smartphones allows you to set your own image as the background on the main screen. On some images, you may only want to use part of the picture. If you don't want to use the entire image, you can compress the image by changing the size of the selection box on the wallpaper selection screen.

Press the "Menu" button on the main screen of your Optimus phone.

Touch "Wallpaper" and tap "Gallery."

Touch the image you want to use as a wallpaper. A box will appear over the image. The area inside the box represents the part of the image that will show as the wallpaper.

Drag the borders of the box to resize the box and crop the sections outside the box.

Touch "Save" to confirm.
