How to Bold & Center Text on Craigslist

Craiglist is a modern-day Internet version of the classified pages.

Craigslist features geographic-based web pages offering a wide variety of online message boards and classified advertisements. The site was established in San Francisco in 1995, but has now expanded to include users in more than 50 countries. While most of the ads posted on the site are fairly basic, you can use simple HTML codes to spruce up your advertisement.

Instructions

1. Type craigslist.org into your web browser and click on "Post to Classifieds" to create your ad. Choose your type of advertisement and desired category for your listing. You are now ready to create your advertisement. Enter "Posting Title," "Price," "Desired Location" and "Reply To:" in the respective boxes. Your advertisement's copy goes in the "Posting Description" box.

2. Insert "b" tags before and after any text you want to appear in bold-faced type. Type <b> at the beginning of a word or series of words, and </b> at the end to turn off the bold formatting.

3. Format you text to be centered by using the following code:

   <p align="center">This text will look centered in your advertisement.</p>

4. Click "Continue" to finalize your advertisement and prepare it for posting.
