How to Give Yourself a Brazilian Body Wax
Brazilian waxing is generally the domain of professionals. But if you balk at the high prices and have a do-it-yourself attitude, go ahead and attempt it at home. A Brazilian wax removes the majority of hair from the pubic region and buttocks. It can be a frightening and painful experience, but doing it yourself allows you to have more control over the process. Try a sugaring wax instead of the standard hot wax used in salons. It is less dangerous than hot wax -- which can burn your skin and should be left to professionals. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Apply a dollop of gentle body exfoliator to your pubic area. Rub it in very gently with your fingers, in small circles. Rinse off with water. This gets rid of dead skin and allows you to more easily remove the hair.
-
2
Take the recommended dosage of an over-the-counter pain reliever with a large glass of water. Do so 1 hour before you do the Brazilian body wax.
-
-
3
Trim pubic hair that is more than one-half inch long. This will make hair removal less painful.
-
4
Prepare the sugaring wax kit according to the manufacturer's instructions. Such kits include the sugaring wax, wooden applicators and cloth waxing strips.
-
5
Dip the enclosed wooden applicator into the sugaring mixture. Smooth it onto a small area of the bikini line. Press one of the cloth strips against it firmly.
-
6
Hold the skin taut with one hand, and quickly pull the cloth from your skin -- going against the direction of hair growth. Continue until you have removed all the hair from your bikini line and pubic area.
-
7
Sit in a position in which it's comfortable to lift up your leg. Hold a mirror in one hand. Spread the sugaring mixture on the hair in between the buttocks, while looking in the mirror. Press the cloth firmly on the mixture.
-
8
Put down the mirror. Follow the instructions in Step 6 to remove the hair. Continue until all the hair is removed from this area.
-
9
Smooth pure aloe vera gel on the waxed area. Sprinkle baby powder over it.
