How to Loop Video on the WD Media Server

Save

Western Digital media servers come with a large number of video playback options, extending player use beyond simple playback on an attached television. Included with these options is the ability to set a video for continuous loop. In a continuous loop, the selected video plays repeatedly, from beginning to end until you decide to end the playback. The setup process for the loop is a simple one. It takes just a few button pushes to begin and a simple press of the stop button to end.

Things You'll Need

  • WD media server
  • WD server remote
  • Turn on the WD media server and then wait for the main menu screen to load.

  • Press the left and right navigational buttons located on the remote to move to the “Videos” menu. Press the “OK” button to accept.

  • Use the up and down navigational buttons on the remote to select a video for viewing from the list of videos stored on the server. A small preview window will show a screenshot from the video to help you identify the specific file.

  • Highlight the file you wish to play and then press the “OK” button to confirm the file’s selection.

  • Press “Options” on the remote when the video begins to play to enter the options menu. Navigate down the menu to “Play Mode.” Press the “OK” button until the option mode rotates to “Repeat All.” Press the “Back” button to return to the now looping video.
