How to Make Artificial Human Skin
Fake skin is an essential part of any good Halloween costume. You can use it for gory scars, fresh stitches and open wounds. 1
Clean the mirror to make it easier to remove your latex later on.
-
2
Apply a small amount of the liquid latex on a makeup sponge. Liquid latex can be purchased online or in most craft or costume shops.
-
-
3
Spread the latex in a thin layer across a mirror. Leave it to dry on the mirror. This will take less than an hour, as the layer of latex is very thin.
-
4
Build up layers of liquid latex on the mirror using the same process. The size and number of layers depends on what is being created. Scars and open wounds need a lot more layers than scratches and stitches.
-
5
Remove the latex from the mirror carefully to prevent rips and curling edges.
-
6
Apply a little liquid latex to the back of the fake skin, spreading it to all the edges. Apply the fake skin to the body.
-
7
Blend the latex with the real skin using makeup foundation in the correct skin tone.
