Instructions

    • 1

Apply a polish drying accelerator to each painted fingernail. Once your base coat has begun to set, spritz each nail with the accelerator. Most accelerators will dry your polish in three to five minutes.

    • 2

Step outside and expose your nails to the sun. Ultraviolet rays can rapidly increase the drying time of your polish. Avoid dusty or windy areas when performing this step. Alternatively, use a UV nail dryer.

    • 3

Dip your fingers in a glass of ice water for two to three minutes. The cold temperature will work to set the polish quickly.

    • 4

Hold your nails in front of a compact desk fan or cool hair dryer. This method works best if your base coat has already begun to set.

Tips & Warnings

  • Shake your container of nail polish vigorously before application. Some polishes come out watery when they have not been sufficiently mixed.

  • Apply two or three very light coats instead of a single thick coat. Thin coats set faster than thick, wet ones.
