1
Lay a square Hermes scarf on a solid flat surface like a counter top.
-
2
Fold it in half diagonally to make an isosceles triangle. An isosceles triangle has two long corners directly across from each other and one short corner.
-
-
3
Examine the folded triangle to see which of the sides is the most visually-appealing. Turn the scarf so that the most appealing side of the folded triangle is on top, facing you.
-
4
Hold the triangle with one hand at each long corner.
-
5
Hold the scarf behind your head with the long side at the bottom of the shape. Position the long side of the folded scarf against the back of your head, just above the hairline at your neck. Allow the scarf to lay on top of your head, with the short point of the triangle pointing down from your forehead.
-
6
Pull the long ends of the scarf around the sides your head, toward your forehead. This should secure the majority of the scarf tightly around your crown.
-
7
Bring the long points together at the front of your head, 1 to 2 inches behind your hairline. The short point should still be hanging over your forehead.
-
8
Cross the ends over each other. Pull one of the points over the other, through the loop he crossed points create. This is just like the first step of tying your shoelaces. Pull the tied ends to secure the scarf.
-
9
Pull the long ends around to the back of your head.
-
10
Tie them into a double-knot to secure the scarf tightly around your head. Tuck the knot under the wrapped scarf to obscure it.
-
11
Lift the the loose corner of the scarf that is on your forehead. Pull it back, over the crossed material behind your hairline.
-
12
Tuck the corner under the crossed material to secure it.
-
13
Style the front of the scarf so that it resembles the wrapped knot of a turban.
