1
Choose a location to store your wig. For best results, find a clean room with a minimal amount of humidity. The room should also be void of hot temperatures and dust. Finding the right location is important for keeping your wig preserved.
-
2
Set up either a Styrofoam head or wig stand in a high location in the room. Doing so will prevent children or pets from tampering with the wig.
-
-
3
Rest your wig on top of the Styrofoam head or wig stand. Do not pull the wig completely down because it can affect the shape of your wig. Instead, it should be gently resting on the head or stand.
-
4
Style and clean your wig as necessary. When doing this, it's okay to pull the wig completely down over the Styrofoam head or wig stand temporarily. Afterward, pull the wig back up and rest it back on the head or stand.
-
5
Place your wig inside either a storage box or plastic bag when traveling but avoid putting the box or bag in excessively hot places.
