How to Get Rid of Hard Water Soap Scum on Chrome
Hard water and soap scum can make shiny chrome faucets and bathroom hardware look dingy and dull. Over time, soap residue and hard water can form deposits on chrome, discoloring it. Removing these deposits doesn't have to be a daunting task; you can clean your bathroom chrome using household items and bathroom cleaners and make it shine like new. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Liquid, spray bathroom cleaners
- Clean cotton cloths
- White vinegar
- Old toothbrush
- Plastic bag
- Rubber bands

Spray the liquid bathroom cleaner on your chrome faucets and other bathroom hardware. Scrub them down with an old toothbrush.

Dip the toothbrush directly into the liquid cleaner and scrub into the crevices of the faucets and hardware.

Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar and attach the bag to each faucet using rubber bands so the faucet is submerged in the vinegar. Leave the bag in place for eight hours or overnight.

Remove the plastic bag and vinegar. Rinse the chrome faucets with warm water and polish them with a dry cotton cloth.
