How to Disinfect a Nail Clipper
Proper grooming requires regular trimming of the fingernails and toenails. The most basic method is to cut the nails with a pair of nail clippers. While nail clippers may last awhile, they do need to be disenfected after cutting your nails a few times. Clean the clippers more often if they are a pair shared within the household. Things You'll Need
- Pot
- Heat-resistant bowl
- Dish soap
- Clean towel
- Blow-dryer
- Paper towel
- Rubbing alcohol

Boil 1 to 2 cups of water.

Pour the water into a heat-resistant bowl.

Add two drops of dish soap into the water and mix together.

Submerge the nail clippers and let them sit in the water for 10 minutes.

Dry the nail clippers with a clean towel or use a blow-dryer.

Wipe down the nail clippers with an alcohol-soaked paper towel.

Dry the nail clippers again with a blow-dryer or clean towel. The clippers need to be completely dry so that they don't rust.
