How to Clean Skin With Epsom Salt
Epsom salt, or magnesium sulfate, is a natural product that is often used for soaking sore muscles. It also has many other uses, ranging from fertilizing and controlling pests on garden flowers to soothing mosquito bites. Since the magnesium and sulfur that are the main chemical components of Epsom salt efficiently and gently remove dead layers of skin that block pores and cause blemishes, washing your face and body with the salt can be highly effective. Things You'll Need
- Bath oil
- Facial cleansing cream
- Petroleum jelly
- Lavender oil
- Mixing bowl
- Small container
- Sponge or loofah

Combine a handful of Epsom salt with a teaspoon of bath oil in a small container. Rub your wet skin with it in the bath or shower and rinse off with clean water.

Stir 1/2 teaspoon of Epsom salt into your facial cleansing cream. Massage the mixture gently into your skin in a circular motion. Rinse your face thoroughly with water.

Mix two cups of Epsom salt with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of lavender oil in a bowl. Stir together to make a paste. Rub the paste onto dry patches of your face and body. Remove the mixture with a wet sponge or loofah and rinse your skin with water.
