Lacrosse has grown in popularity in the United States and around the world. Anybody who watches professional lacrosse quickly realizes that many pro players cut the palms out of their lacrosse gloves. This is done in an effort to increase touch and to make the gloves feel as much like a natural hand as possible. You can easily cut the palm off your lacrosse glove; however, you should first check the rules of your league to see if you will be allowed to play with these gloves in a game.
Things You'll Need
Use a marker to mark the part of the palm you wish to cut out. This will serve as a guide once you start cutting. Make a circle that will create a hole in your palm. Don’t make the mark in any area containing stitching as this could ruin the glove once cut. Aim for the foamy central piece of the glove and err on the side of caution. You can always make the hole bigger later; but you can’t undo a destroyed glove.
Use a knife or scissors to cut out the palm of your glove. Follow your marking with extreme care and precision.
Use tape to further secure the glove to your fingers to avoid them slipping out of the glove during a match as this could cause a serious injury.
