How to Create a Travel Room From Souvenirs
You've traveled to your favorite places and now you need a way to display your vacation souvenirs in your home. Create a travel room and exhibit photos and mementos of your trips in a variety of creative ways. Arrange items according to various locations or dates or according to the type of souvenir. Decorate walls in your travel room with framed photos of your trip. Create groupings according to locations if you traveled to multiple places. Use computer software to type a small piece of paper to attach to the back of photos to remind you of dates, people and places. Another option is to purchase frames that have cut out spaces for several photos so that you can group photos together according to the year or destination.

Display souvenirs from vacations on shelving units. Coordinate memorabilia in a way that makes sense to you. One option is to create groupings by the type of souvenir, such as sea shells. Alternatively, exhibit collections according to locations. One shelf could be summer trips and one shelf could be winter vacations. Another option is to display souvenirs within a coffee table with a recessed top covered with a glass lid.

Make your own sand bottle collection. Obtain glass bottles of various sizes at garage sales or secondhand stores. Fill the bottles with sand from different beaches that you have visited. Add sea shells or pebbles that you picked up on your trips. Attach sticker labels to each bottle and write the location on each bottle.

Display mementos from travel excursions as a collage in a frame with a glass front. Items to exhibit may include train, theatre or museum ticket stubs, matchbooks, postcards and brochures of specific locations. Be creative and include anything that reminds you of a particular vacation or journey. Another option is make a collage of souvenir items on a large piece of bristol board.

Create a travel memory quilt. Sew a quilt out of t-shirts that you obtained on various trips and display it on a wall. Use a home printer or go to a local photo center to turn vacation photos into home decor items such as pillows, wall tapestries, coffee mugs or calendars.
