Add stickers to the outer sides of the bag for decoration. Choose stickers that match the them of the party (such as Spider Man or Barbie) or generic birthday balloon and cake stickers. Use markers to draw pictures or designs on the bag.

Tie yarn in a knot after passing through the first hole. String yarn through each hole and tie a knot in yarn after passing through the last hole. Add a second string through the top hole, reaching over the bag to the top left hole to create a handle. Tie a knot on both sides to hold in place. Use the hole punch to increase the size of the hole if necessary. For a sturdy handle, use a ribbon instead of yarn or string.

Tips & Warnings
Use this goodie bag craft as an activity for your child's party. Ask children to create their own bag. When completed, place a bowl of candy and small trinkets on the table that children can use to fill their bags.
Ask your children to help with this project in preparation for their birthday party. Use it as a rainy day activity away from the television. Extra hands will help the project move along quicker. If your children help, tell them to write "thanks" on each bag as a message to the children who attended their party.
