  • White onions
  • Chopping knife
  • Small bowls or pans

Instructions

      Peel one white onion for every two to three furniture pieces you painted.

      Cut each onion in two, across the grain of the onion, with a chopping knife.

      Fill one small bowl for each onion half about one-quarter full of water.

      Place one onion in each bowl, cut side down.

      Place the bowls under and around the immediate area of the painted furniture. The smell should lift within a couple of hours. The onion smell will dissipate naturally once you have disposed of them.
