How to Make Dress Centerpieces
A dress centerpiece will cause eyes to turn no matter how the display is sitting. This is not only an original type of centerpiece but it's also one that's extremely versatile to fit any color or date theme. An event being thrown with a '40s theme or an '80s theme would have dress centerpieces featuring the particular dress style for that era. Colors for these centerpieces can also be changed to better suit certain decorations or a special holiday season. Dress centerpieces are suitable for events such as fashion shows or old-fashioned tea parties, causing any occasion to come to life.

1
Lay a piece of ribbon flat on a table and glue the end of the ribbon with a glue stick. Attach the end of the ribbon to the end of the barrel of a dowel rod, allowing the ribbon to hang straight down from the glued area. Lay the ribbon and dowel on a flat surface and begin rolling the dowel in either direction with your fingertips until the ribbon is completely wrapped around the wooden dowel.

2
Cut out each paper dress template using scissors. Place one felt square on a flat surface and lay any paper dress in the center of the felt square, holding the dress securely with one hand. Trace around the edges of the paper dress using white chalk. Repeat this with the rest of the paper dresses and felt squares.

Cut out each of the felt squares using scissors, matching up each paper dress with its cut-out felt. Place a paper dress on a flat surface facing down and completely cover the dress with glue. Lay a wooden dowel at the bottom of the paper dress, overlapping the paper 1/2 inch, and press down firmly.

4
Lay the felt mate to the paper dress directly on top of it, pressing along the edges and around both sides of the wooden dowel. Repeat this with the remaining paper dresses, felt squares and wooden dowels. Lay the Styrofoam circles on a flat surface side by side and insert one wooden dowel into the center of each circle. Be sure to insert each dowel far enough into the Styrofoam so that it won’t easily fall out but is still standing up freely.

5
Fill in around the tops and sides of each Styrofoam circle using loose silk rosebuds with 2-inch stems. If you are cutting the stems yourself, measure down 2 inches from the rosebud and cut with wire cutters. Push each stem all the way into the Styrofoam using 25 rosebuds per Styrofoam circle. Make each rosebud sit flush so that no Styrofoam is visible.
