The HTC Hero is an Android device that comes with Footprints installed.

Footprints is a photo geotagging application and widget for the Android mobile operating system. It is installed by default on some Android smartphones, and it can be downloaded from the Android Market for others. If Footprints is installed as a widget on your Android device and you’d like to permanently delete it, you must first remove the widget from your smartphone's home screen and then uninstall the application from the phone’s Application Management menu.

      Swipe over to the Android home screen that contains the Footprints widget.

      Tap and hold your finger on the Footprints widget icon. While holding the icon, the App Drawer icon will change into a trashcan icon. Drag the widget to the new trashcan icon at the bottom of the screen.

      Press the "Menu" soft key and tap the "Settings" option.

      Tap the "Applications" option. Tap "Manage Applications."

      Tap the "Footprints" option in the list of installed applications. Tap the "Uninstall" option and confirm the application's removal to permanently uninstall Footprints from your Android device.
