Instructions

1
Combine a few drops of blue food coloring with the vanilla frosting in the mixing bowl and stir. Continue to add food coloring until the frosting turns a consistent light blue.
-
2
Cover the lower third of one Twinkie in the blue frosting using the spoon. Place the Twinkie onto the cookie sheet. Repeat for all Twinkies.
-
-
3
Place the baking sheet into your refrigerator. Sitting in the refrigerator will harden the Twinkies, making them easier to decorate.
-
4
While the Twinkies are in the refrigerator, use the black food marker to make the minion's eyes. Draw a circle around the top of each marshmallow and put a dot in the center of the circle.
-
5
Prepare the licorice by cutting several pieces into 1-and 2-inch strips. The 1-inch strips will be used for the minion's mouths and the 2-inch strips will be the hair.
-
6
Remove the baking sheet from the refrigerator. Place two small dots of frosting on the plain, undecorated end of each Twinkie.
-
7
Give the minions eyes by placing two marshmallows with the eye side up onto the dots of frosting. Draw dark lines down the side of each Twinkie with the black marker to complete the goggles.
-
8
Curve a 1-inch piece of licorice to form a smile. Press one smile into each Twinkie just below the eyes to form the minion's mouth.
-
9
Stick some 2-inch licorice strips into the undecorated top of each Twinkie to make hair. The minions in the film had different hair styles, so you can vary the number of pieces of licorice used. Give one minion three pieces, another four or five.

Instead of marshmallows, you can use white mint patties or white jelly beans to make the eyes.
Chocolate frosting can be used instead of the marker to complete the goggles.
Twinkie minions contain small candies that might pose a choking hazard to children under 3 years of age.
