How to Make Pacifier Chains With Nylon String
Pacifier chains, also called pacifier clips, are designed to keep a baby's dropped pacifier from landing on the floor. One end of a string or ribbon attaches to the pacifier, and the other clips to the baby's clothing or car seat. Although they serve a utilitarian purpose, modern pacifier chains can be cute accessories with multicolored ribbon or beading. You can make personalized pacifier chains inexpensively with some nylon string and plastic beads.
Things You'll Need
- Nylon string
- Pacifier or suspender clip
- Plastic beads

1
Cut a foot of string, and knot one end around the handle of the suspender clip. Pull the thread tight to secure the knot. Add a drop of hot glue to seal the knot closed, and trim off any loose ends.

2
Wash your beads thoroughly with antibacterial soap, and file down any sharp seams with the nail file. String beads along the cord to personalize the pacifier chain. For an added touch, use letter beads to spell out the baby's name.

Knot the end of the string to tie off the string of beads, leaving two loose ends. Tie the ends together to form a loop, and secure with another dab of hot glue. Let the glue cure completely for at least an hour before gift wrapping or giving to a child.
