How to Make the Inverse Chevron Friendship Bracelet With Two Colors
Friendship bracelets feature various colors and patterns. Most friendship bracelets are six-strands wide, but if you want to craft a pattern that repeats with two colors, simply increase the bracelet width to eight strands. An inverse chevron friendship bracelet in two colors, for instance, will be wider than regular friendship bracelets. Also, use embroidery thread for a cleaner look instead of yarn, which may fray.

1
Cut two strands of one color and two strands of a separate color for a total of four strands. Make these strands about 60 inches long. For example, cut two strands of blue and two strands of green.
-
2
Fold these strands in half and create a knot at the halfway point so that you have eight strands about 30 inches long.
-
-
3
Attach the knot of the bracelet to a clipboard, or tape it to a flat surface.
-
4
Arrange the strands in a specific manner from left to right, such as: Blue, Green, Blue, Green, Green, Blue, Green, Blue. In this case, B stands for blue, G stands for Green, and each strand is numbered from left to right. For example: B1, G1, B2, G2, G3, B3, G4, B4.
-
5
Start creating your knots. Work from the center of the bracelet to the outside. From left to right, create forward knots. From right to left, create backward knots.
-
6
Create a forward knot by working from left to the right. Place the working strand over the non-working strand and bring the end of the working strand up through the loop.
-
7
Create a backward knot by working from the right to the left. Follow the same procedure as a forward knot but working in the opposite direction.
-
8
Take G2 and make a forward knot around G3. Repeat with a second forward knot. Take G2 and make two forward knots around B3, then G4 and B4.
-
9
Take G3 and make a backward knot around B2. Repeat with a second backward knot. Take G3 and make two backward knots around G1 and B1. Your strands will now look like this, from left to right: G3, B1, G1, B2, B3, G4, B4, G2.
-
10
Repeat this process with the next center strands: B2 and B3. Continue working in this manner with every new set of center strands.
-
11
Keep making knots until the bracelet is long enough for you to wear. Tie a knot at the end of the bracelet to keep it secure.
